Senator Maryland Chris Van Hollen swears the journey to El Salvador to negotiate the dismissal of an incorrectly deported man after the Trump administration ignored the Supreme Court’s decision to facilitate his return to the USA
(It’s not clear if Hollen has ever met with bukele.)

Abrego GarciaIN 29, a resident of Maryland, 14 years old and father of the Three, was deported to El Salvador last month due to the allegations that he was a member of the MS-13 gang.
Abrego Garcia denies being a part of the gang and according to his lawyers he was never accused of crime.
In 2019, the immigration judge in the US protected Abry Garcia from deportation to El Salvador, because he would probably meet the persecution of local gangs, which extort their family to rent money in San Salvador and who threatened to rape and kill his siblings, according to the Associated Press.
The family never went to the authorities due to raging police corruption, court contributions say. The gang still harassed his family after moving to Guatemala, which borders with the El Salvador.
The Trump administration deported Abry Garcia to Salvador, later Describing an error As a “administrative error”, insisting that he could be in MS-13.
In a separate statement on April 14, Van Hollen announced his intention to travel to El Salvador If Abrego Garcia does not receive freedom.
“Because Trump’s administration seems to be ignored by these judicial mandates, we must take additional actions … If Kilmar is not in the middle of the week – I plan to go to El Salvador this week to check his condition and discuss his dismissal,” a press release.

Abrego Garcia was in certainly one of three loud flights to El Salvador on March 15, carrying alleged gang members, a lot of whom did not have criminal registers.

On Monday, Trump’s administration officials pushed against the idea of bringing him home, arguing that it was to Salvador. Meanwhile, Bukele argued that he lacked power to return him, saying that “ridiculous” could be “smuggling a terrorist to the United States.”
Bukele is legendary for his “cool” dictator who takes a tough approach to coping with gang crime, which, despite the restriction under his rule, according to the government, aroused fears about human rights.
Also on Monday, Trump was cut off by CNN journalist Kaitlan Collins, who pressed him against the decision to ignore the Supreme Court’s decision.
“You said that if the Supreme Court said that someone had to be returned, you would follow it,” Collins said to the president.

Abry Garcia’s life in the USA
Abrego Garcia escaped illegally around 2011, 16 he graduated, in accordance with the documents submitted in his immigration case. He joined his brother Cesar, currently a US citizen in Maryland and found a job in construction.
