According to the study, Lithuania is the happiest country for Generation Z and Millennials World Happiness Report 2024.
The countries were ranked based on self-ratings of life and responses to Cantril’s ladder query, through which respondents are asked to provide you with a ladder through which the most effective possible life for them is the number 10 and the worst possible life is zero, after which rate their current life on that scale.
The Center for Wellbeing Research on the University of Oxford, which publishes the report, says it also takes under consideration the next six variables within the greater than 130 countries covered within the report:
- GDP per capita
- Social assistance
- Healthy life expectancy
- Freedom
- Generosity
- Freedom of corruption
