Pope Francis stays in a stable condition, with an x -rays of the chest showing further improvement, in accordance with the Wednesal statement of the Vatican, almost a month after the hospitalization of pneumonia.
The Vatican Medical Bulletin stated: “The Clinical Conditions of the Holy Father remained stationary (stable), as part of the complexity of the general image,” he said in the Medical Bulletin.
“X-rays made yesterday (Tuesday) confirmed radiologically enhancements registered in previous days,” he added.
The 88-year-old Pope, who can have his 12-year anniversary on Thursday as the leader of the Catholic Church, receives treatment at the Roman Gemelli Hospital from February 14. Initially, his condition was described as critical.
His health showed improvement over the past week, and the Vatican identified on Monday that he was not in direct danger, which suggests possible payments from the hospital.
Currently, francis requires oxygen with a high flow through the nasal cannula during the day and uses the oxygen mask during sleep, as present in Wednesday’s update.
He also participated in spiritual exercises in the Vatican via the video link, although he remained invisible, continuing the model of previous days, on Wednesday morning.
The Vatican also informed that Francis was in a special apartment on the tenth floor of the hospital, balancing prayers, physiotherapy, work and meetings with colleagues.
Doctors inform that he’s slow, but everlasting progress after adopting on February 14 with a posh respiration infection. However, because of the complexity of his condition and general fragility, they continue to be cautious and didn’t specify how long he would need to stay in the hospital.
