Tel Aviv, Israel – Israel threatened on Tuesday the resumption of hostilities with Hamas in Gaza this weekend, unless Hamas releases hostages based on a weapon suspension agreement on Saturday.
The announcement took place after the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met his security office a day after Hamas said he was delaying the next release of the hostage, accusing Israel of resignation from the conditions of the first phase of the weapon suspension agreement, negotiated after over 15 months of war with the help USA, runny nose and Egypt.
Netanyahu demanded that Hamas return the hostages to the local south on Saturday or “the suspension of the weapon ended, and Idf would resume intense fight until Hamas is definitely defeated,” he said, referring to the acronym for the Israeli army.
It was not clear directly whether he meant that Hamas should spend three hostages, which were planned to be released this weekend, or all nine hostages still thought that he was alive and who were to be released in the first phase of the contract.
Netanyahu added that he was satisfied with the comments of President Trump on Monday, demanding the release of hostages until Saturday, “and his revolutionary vision of the future of gauze.”
Hamas’ announcement about the release of the hostages delaying was arrived when President Trump said in Fox News interview It was published online on Monday that Palestinians won’t have the option to return to Gaza as a part of their plan to take over the USA and move the inhabitants of ENCL.
Hamas claimed that Israel didn’t allow temporary shelters, tents, debris removal equipment and fuel, which, he claims, are required by a weapon suspension agreement to the enclave. Israel controls all the help that enters the Gaza Belt.
Hamas said that he was involved in the contract, and postponement of hostages was a “warning” for Israel in order to comply with the terms of the contract.
Netanyahu also said that he instructed the Israeli army to “accumulate forces inside and around the Gaza Belt.” The Israeli army said he was sending additional soldiers and calls reservists to this area.
Last weekend, Israel and Hamas exchanged three Israeli hostages for dozens of Palestinian detainees and prisoners. Until now, five such exchanges have been held, releasing 16 Israeli and five Thai hostages in exchange for over 670 prisoners and Palestinian detained. Hamas originally agreed to release 33 Israeli hostages in the first phase of the contract in exchange for about 1900 prisoners and Palestinian detained.
Thousands of Palestinians spilled north in Gaza after the arms suspension began on January 19, many on foot, returning home and residential buildings, which were destroyed during the fighting, in which over 47,000 Palestinians were killed, according to the Gaza authorities.
The conflict began on October 7, 2023, when fighters from Hamas and other groups broke through the border with Israel and killed about 1,200 people and covered over 250 hostages, according to the authorities of Israel.
