PERSONAL MESSAGE/OPINION – In this space that is frequently reserved for world-class reporting and evaluation of global security issues, we thought we’d do something different this Thanksgiving weekend and take a moment to say thanks and let you understand how much you encourage us and the way much you’ve gotten taught us community values.
When we decided to begin a brand new media company in 2015, our goal was to create selfless and an unbiased publication that brings deep expertise to bear on today’s issues. We desired to publish a product that goes beyond describing what happened and provides the expert-level context all of us have to help navigate an increasingly complex world.
Over nine years later, we realized that we had not only created a publication, but we had created a community. Today, the community numbers over 500,000. readers, subscribers and followers who care deeply concerning the quality and perspective of details about national and global security issues.
To serve this community, we attempt to publish some of one of the best reporting within the industry, provide expert-level opinions and commentary (all the time clearly marked “opinion”), and supply evaluation that provides our subscribers multiple perspectives from which to grasp events.
We’re incredibly grateful to our team for putting all of it together in an easily digestible way every single day. We are incredibly grateful to you. Running a media publication lately shouldn’t be a task for the faint of heart. You have proven to us that it’s price it. You don’t just read the news – you’re taking part within the conversation and are part of our community. We listen and value your views, which is why we’re creating latest products just like the Open Source Report to maintain you updated every single day in the identical way the president’s team updates the country’s senior leadership.
We are also grateful for the chance to create credible, unbiased, public-private sector events that bring together the world’s top minds on issues ranging from geopolitical headlines to the growing influence of the media cyber and latest technologies and starting in 2025, we’ll focus heavily on the investment community, which plays an increasingly necessary role in the longer term security of the United States and the world. (Read the Nightcap newsletter to be among the many first to listen to about our convergence conference happening next yr in Austin, Texas.)
This yr many of you joined us Encryption Threat Conference as CIA Director Bill Burns shared one thing with us keeps him awake at nightNSA Director Timothy Haugh told us why the United States needs a “whole of nation” approach with regards to China, and leaders of some of the world’s most influential corporations shared insights on how one can innovate to remain ahead of threats.
We are grateful to all of you. Thank you for being part of the Community. May acting together all the time bring greater value to all of us than acting alone.
