Construction of the strange Stobnica Castle began in 2015 and was built on a synthetic island in a secluded place in the west of the country.
The project, built in a protected nature reserve, aroused huge controversy.
This huge constructing went unnoticed until 2018, when local environmental groups and authorities became aware of it.
The amazing constructing was built on the outskirts of the Notecka Forest, about an hour away from Poznań.
Stobnica Castle is characterised by high towers, stone partitions and impressive turrets.

Recent aerial photos have shown that the castle, which took nine years to construct, now stands on a snow-covered and frozen lake.
Theories have swirled as to who owns this isolated castle and why it was built in the first place.
Some believed that the Polish billionaire Jan Kulczyk, who died in 2015, may very well be behind the project.
Other rumors claimed that the site was financed with money from overseas accounts.
Some recent reports also suggest that the Polish company DJT could have been behind the constructing.

Even the local governor over this castle was removed.
Those detained by the police were accused of causing destruction to the idyllic environment.
Various attempts by construction authorities to dam the project failed, although the project was halted at some points.
The reason for its construction was also questioned.
The developers reportedly insisted that the constructing be the owner’s primary residence, but some dispute this.
Some residents speculate that the impressive facility may very well be transformed into a luxury hotel.
The castle in Stobnica is now open to visitors. Guests can cruise the area on a barge, dine at the on-site café, and even visit the gift shop.
