On Halloween night, join a world-first event: a live-streamed 3D scan of the Crone, a seriously haunted artifact with a history of violence. During the scanning process, paranormal investigator Dana Matthews will use the Estes Method, a technique designed to put her in a trance state in an effort to open a direct line of communication with the entity attached to the artifact. Of all the nights to run the experiment, Halloween seemed appropriate.
While mountain climbing off the beaten track in the Catskill Mountains in New York, two hikers made a surprising discovery. Hidden in the cave was a strange, hand-carved statue with disturbing features. Six rusty nails were driven into his eyes and a dirty rope was wrapped around his neck. Whoever put it there was long gone, but one thing was certain: it was a nasty piece of magic. Despite higher judgment, the explorers took the figure home with them.

For the next week, the men who discovered the strange figure were tormented by terrifying encounters with the unknown. The operation began innocently enough, with strange knocks in the night and the occasional shadow creeping across the hall, but inside a few days the activity took a terrifying turn. As the days passed, the statue appeared to move around the house by itself, muddy footprints started to appear on the floor, and the pungent smell of stagnant pond water filled the house. On the seventh day, they saw her crouched in the shadow of the lounge: The Old Woman, a terrifying apparition with an emaciated body and eyes that glowed in the dark.
Then the Catskills Old Woman entered the collection Traveling Museum of the Paranormal and Occultwhere you may safely look after the figurine, investigate its strange activity, and share with guests the terrifying truth behind its creation. Only after a day did the creature attached to the object begin to attack, tearing the figure of Jesus from the crucifix hanging on the wall. Just a few weeks later, the statue was filmed moving by itself, wet footprints started to appear in the museum’s premises, and much more dangerous phenomena started to appear.
Just two months ago, the Old Lady was withdrawn from public displays after a series of terrifying incidents that led to a spreading disease, freak automobile accidents, and even convulsions occur in those that have had direct contact with a haunted object, regardless that it remained on the “no touch” list. For these and other reasons, it was decided that the Crone have to be returned to the cave from which it was stolen, as this appeared to be the only motion that will calm the restless spirit associated with the artifact. But first, the object will probably be added to the world’s first database of haunted objectsa process that is far easier said than done.
For the first time in history, Crone will probably be 3D scanned in a protected place Dana Matthews, co-founder of the museum, he’ll try the Estes Method, trying to ascertain direct contact with the Old Woman. Method, developed by paranormal investigators Karl Pfieffer and Connor Randall, turns off the senses, which appears to reinforce the subject’s latent psychic abilities, turning them into a sort of spiritual communication channel. Dana spent weeks preparing for the communication test.
The scanning session will probably be broadcast live exclusively for members of the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal and the Occult on Halloween night. Fortunately, it is simple to turn into a member and participate in the interactive experience.
To join the live scan experiment, ensure you’re a member of the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal and the Occult AND request access to a secret members-only Facebook group. You will have the ability to look at the scanning live, participate in a communication session and share your thoughts with other museum members in real time. You’ll also support the work of the world’s only mobile paranormal museum, helping to preserve, protect and share haunted artifacts with the world.
