Samuel Davalos Pasillas, a 47-yr-old pastor from California, was recently arrested on charges of paying men to kill his daughter’s boyfriend.
Last week, Riverside police arrested Samuel Pasillas after collecting sufficient evidence that he ordered the attempted murder of a man who was dating his daughter. The incident occurred on October 21, 2023 in Riverside. The victim was sitting in his automotive when he was shot multiple times from a vehicle that pulled up next to him. The shooters quickly drove away, however the victim survived and went to a nearby hospital. He couldn’t give investigators much details about his potential killers, but five months later police concluded that the incident was a “shooting for hire” arranged by his girlfriend’s father, Pastor Pasillas.

“He actually provided information to the suspects he hired,” said Riverside Police Officer Ryan Railsback ABC Eyewitness News. “He paid them almost $40,000.”
Police arrested Pasillas and one of the alleged killers, 55-yr-old Juan Manuel Cebreros of Long Beach, but they’re still looking for a third suspect, Jesus Abel Felix Garcia. Both Pasillas and Cebreros pleaded not guilty during their joint arraignment on the Riverside Hall of Justice, but remain within the Robert Presley Jail on $1 million bail pending a March 26 felony plea agreement conference.
Riverside Police Department sources told reporters that Pastor Pasillas met with the 2 alleged gunmen, paid them $40,000 and provided information in regards to the victim’s whereabouts on the night of the shooting. As for why he wanted the man dead, Pasillas allegedly didn’t approve of his daughter dating him, and since he failed to persuade her to break up with him, he opted for probably the most extreme approach.
