Studies with Irish Life Health show that the high percentage of women at work believes that discussing health problems can negatively affect their profession.
Before Wellfest, an event emphasizing Ireland in the biological renewal industry, which is able to happen on May 10-11, the insurer Irish Life Health has published research that shows that one-third of women’s contributions are afraid that discussing health problems in work at work in the workplace may negatively affect their profession.
The organization, in cooperation with research and Ipsos Behaviour and Partitudes Research, collected data from 1103 employees aged 16 and older. Because women report problems related to menstrual health, fertility, perimenopause and menopause, many have said that their experiences have negatively affected their performance.
“Although it is half of the adult population, many women still feel uncomfortable, discussing their health problems at work, often fearing a negative impact on their career. Evidence is clear, it is necessary to support women with their health needs,” said Ann Marie Nestor, managing director at Irish Life Health.
Additional data shows that 29 % of women settle on sick leave to take care of health -specific health problems, and almost one fifth chooses an annual vacation to take care of it higher. Young women aged 16 to 34 have an effect to a better extent, with 43 % profit from sick leave and 31 %, taking unpaid vacation, while experiencing health problems.
According to research, just one in three employers have rules to satisfy health needs for women and only 41 % of participating women imagine that they receive sufficient support from the workplace. In fact, 44PC explained that they’d consider moving to a brand new organization if it offers higher health support to women.
Also commenting on the numbers, Dr. Máire Finn, a general doctor specializing in women’s health, said: “The results of these studies clearly emphasize the problems that women are facing in relation to women’s health.
