Just a few months ago, Prime Video revealed that it was working on a TV adaptation. For fans, the members of every game’s squad are a part of the series’ charm – a lot in order that Jennifer Hale, who voiced the female version of Commander Shepard, believes they needs to be included in the series.
I’m talking to EurogamerHale stated that she wouldn’t be pleased to return and reprise Shepard “in any form”, including a fifth game BioWare is currently developing. Both she and fellow Shepard co-star Mark Meer found fame as voice actors in the original trilogy, and he or she still loves the sci-fi RPG series. Her big request for the show, beyond making her Shepard the canon version? Have her and her other game voice actors appear on the show in some capability. According to her, the upcoming series should “attract as much of the original as possible [] roll through as many scenes, easter eggs, and recurring or regular scenes as you wish [roles] as possible. I feel this might be a fully sensible move.
Since last summer, video game voice actors have been on strike against top-tier studios like Rockstar and WB Games. Even though their voices are so necessary to game characters, not every voice actor can appear of their live-action or animated adaptations. There are exceptions, resembling the most important characters of the HBO series or Reed Shannon voicing Ekko, but most frequently these roles are taken by larger names. Hale believes the cast of this future adaptation might help highlight a community stuffed with “some of the greatest performers I’ve ever met,” and whether she or another person stars in the show, she’s ready “for smart production” with an organization that can stop ignoring this gold mine.
Fortunately for Hale, longtime executive producer Mike Gamble can be involved in the series. So if Shepard and their pals are in a job, he could help her and other actors like Brandon Keener (Garrus) or Tricia Helfer (EDI) appear in a scene or lend their voices, even when it’s just to say it’s theirs favorite shop in the Citadel.
