Artificial intelligence has taken over the world. By this we don’t mean that killer robots have mobilized against humanity. What we mean is that firms won’t keep quiet about it! Of course, CES was a platform for lots of firms to showcase their latest AI innovations, and gaming company Razer was no exception. During CES, Razer presented Project Avacompany’s AI gaming assistant.
We’ve already seen some pretty exciting Razer technology on the event. These features include a brand new monitor stand and docking station for handheld consoles. The company also showed off its concept of a gaming chair with a built-in heater.
Razer is showing off Project Ava at CES and it’s quite ambitious
While Razer’s previous announcements were hardware-focused, the corporate also showed off an interesting AI feature that is either progressive, terrifying, or a mixture of each. Project Ava is an AI assistant that may run on company computers. It won’t be a typical chatbot like most other firms. Project Ava will actually act as your game trainer.
The assistant will analyze what’s happening within the game you are playing and inform you in real time what it’s best to do to enhance your strategy. Razer showed a trailer showing the feature in motion, nevertheless it may be a simulation of how Ava works. In the trailer, Ava may be heard telling someone fighting a Souls-like boss to “punish twice and then avoid the next action.” We also hear Ava giving real-time advice on FPS and MMORPG games. It will tell the player what strategies to make use of.
Post-match evaluation
In addition, Ava may also offer post-match evaluation. Let’s say you played a round of Call of Duty and weren’t doing thoroughly, you will get recommendations on find out how to improve your technique. Ava has been trained with input from a few of the very best players on the planet, so it’s no surprise that she would give you the option to offer such in-depth coaching.
This is sort of an interesting tool and we’re sure it’ll help players once they launch it. We just wish Razer had chosen a less off-putting voice. We’d also prefer to see the corporate use a script that does not sound like an evil AI monologue in a sci-fi thriller. Seriously, within the movie Ava says things like “My knowledge is limitless” and “By analyzing millions of simulations in a matter of seconds, I will always find the answer.”
Anyway, that is just an idea for now. There isn’t any word on when Razer will release this.
