5. WR JONAH WINSTON
Jonah Winston is a skillful operator who made up-and-down plays during Friday’s practice in San Antonio. The Hoover (Ala.) High four-star winger is skillful out of the slot, has excellent feet and can shoot in bursts to make a play after the catch. Winston, the younger brother of Cleveland Browns QB Jameis Winston, is an excellent route runner, characterized by twitchy movements and a smooth play. 6. WR JAKAI ANDERSON
Jakii Anderson is the winger’s technician. 7. WR JAYDEN WARREN
Jayden Warren tore through a monster junior high school campaign at Iowa Colony (Texas) as the speedy 2026 wide receiver landed on college radars across the South. 8. DL ISAIAH BROUGHTON
Isaiah Broughton is a big man, standing around 6 feet 5 inches and weighing well north of 300 pounds. Younger brother Texas DL Vernon Broughton, who is having a breakout season with the Longhorns, is also finding his rhythm. Houston’s 2026 defensive lineman is quite a challenge and moves well for his size. Broughton is flexible, has strong arms and plays down the middle of the DL. Texas Tech, UTSA and Houston are early contenders for Broughton.
9. DL DARRYUS MCKINLEY
Darryus McKinley put on a strong performance at the Alamodome. After a breakout season at Lafayette (La.) Acadiana High School, the four-star DL performed impressively in position drills and showed off his power during the OL-DL showcase. McKinley, whose older brother Dominick was a five-star DL player coming off a strong freshman season at LSU, is also physically fit at tackle and is flexed, 6-foot-10 and weighs more than 260 pounds. The Tigers are also well positioned with McKinley.
10. DL JALEN BREWSTER
Jalen Brewster moves at a different pace at 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds. The Cedar Hill (Texas) High School defensive lineman has NFL pedigree and it shows in his play. Brewster is flexible in his massive frame, has great feet and natural strength. As a sophomore, there is plenty to like about his skills and movement characteristics. Technician from Texas, Arizona State AND Baylor put early offers on the table for Texas’ 2027 DL.
