Charles Woodson is considered one of the select few members to have been inducted into each the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame.
He is the most up-to-date linebacker to win the Heisman Trophy, playing for Michigan in 1997.
His historic Heisman campaign has been widely discussed recently as the trend of offensive linemen winning the award may end this 12 months, and former NFL head coach Jon Gruden recently compared one player’s stellar start to Woodson’s.
Gruden had the honor of choosing Woodson out of Michigan fourth overall when he was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders in 1998.
He recently said on X that “he could do anything on the football field. When I watch Travis Hunter, I see the same sort of change in the way he plays.
Overall, we selected Charles Woodson number 4. He could do anything on the pitch. When I watch Travis Hunter, I see the same sort of game changer.pic.twitter.com/H8GCg5MZTj

Hunter makes weekly headlines for being a two-way star like Woodson, but few have ever shined on each ends of the court like Hunter does for Colorado.
Hunter has 92 receptions for 1,152 yards and 14 offensive touchdowns.
He has a rushing touchdown, 31 tackles and 4 interceptions on defense.
Woodson was a star when he entered the NFL and made the Pro Bowl in his first 4 seasons, including earning Defensive Rookie of the Year honors and making the All-Pro first team thrice.
Being compared to a legend like Woodson is an honor for any player, and Hunter has the potential to develop into the transcendent star that Woodson was.
