My inspiration and practice of art is rooted in introspection and external curiosity of the world, often materializing in photographing topics that exude immunity, power and humiliated sense of confidence. “
When asked how she took an interest and began with Ayesh’s photography, she said: “As a child, watching my father moves around the film industry and uses his craftsmanship to raise traditional stories from the African continent, opened my eyes to the possibilities that art could provide in the distribution of vision.”
After receiving the primary camera on the age of 10, she began to make use of photography to know the world round her. “As someone who was not a great writer and a very introvert, photography led me out of my shell and provided an artistic mechanism that I could use to interpret, keep and share the history of my diverse heritage.”
“Photography still serves this purpose today, while transforming into a medium, through which I try to create bold, dynamic portraits that are aimed at illustrating a greater vision outside the guardian. By creating images, it remains my goal to present colorful people in the positions of strength and power, while recalling sensitivity and authenticity. ”
Ayesha said her type of photography is characterised by “Clean, sophisticated portraits that emanate fresh, lively energy thanks to the use of colorful, but coordinated settings and styling. “
She continued: “I grew up in over ten countries in my formation years, my work draws inspiration from a wide range of cultures, which helps me connect with my objects and grasp authentic, engaging moments. I focus on emphasizing honest, intimate moments of everyday life, which result from organic connections and emotions. “
“Regardless of whether he documents fashion stories, he emphasizes the rising innovators, or presents people who make progress in the creative industry, I try to convey a number of emotions, expressions and moods through my work, which attracts the viewer and establishes a common plane. Ayesha said that she often chooses photo locations based on an idea or message she is attempting to convey, the topic of the photo and the story he tells. “When photographing outside, I am looking for an environment that has many natural functions and interesting architectural shapes. Some of my favorite shooting places were overgrown with gardens, abandoned churches and forest landscapes between seasons. I also think that adding a background outside allows me to create refined portraits that still have a sense of personality and authenticity, placing a topic in a real environment with which the viewer can connect. “
“When shooting at home at the studio, history is less grown by external surroundings and exa by tools such as lighting, makeup or style. I usually start by creating a mood board, which illustrates the main vision or aesthetics, which I try to produce as part of the project. ”
