And as you possibly can see, I have never posted anything… ANYTHING… here for some time because I made a decision to work on my business and mental health. But me and Tiffinbox are back. More on this soon.
This is a guest post by Madhavan Palanisamy, visual artist (photography is only one of the things I do) lives in Chennai, India. Some time back (May 6, 2021 to be exact) he shared his thoughts on steps to stay positive in a Facebook post and I asked him if I could share them here again for you to read.
There are quite a bit of creative people on my channel and I assumed they may find it useful. Especially those that could also be left alone. Here are some thoughts on steps to assist you to stay positive during these stressful times.
This is a continuation of “weakarticle I shared on Facebook earlier.
There are also a couple of professionals on my timeline who work in the areas of coaching, therapy, spiritual healing, etc. and so they could perhaps add their steps to stay positive as well. Without going into an excessive amount of science, I’ve listed a couple of things which have worked for me. It is a mix of mind and body matter.
10 steps to maintain a positive attitude:
1
Moving forward from the challenges we’ve encountered in the past: allow us to ask ourselves: what were the darkest moments we’ve experienced in the past and the way did we overcome them – and allow us to remember: we managed to overcome it – and allow us to see if there may be any sense of comfort in that.
2
Exercise, yoga, walking: anything that can motivate our blissful enzymes and improve our well-being. It at all times turned out to be a partner. The energy that’s built and never used will develop into our burden. Please do something each day for 30-45 minutes.
When you are feeling down, get up, open your chest and breathe and you’ll immediately feel the difference. Eating healthily and avoiding snacks, in addition to limiting smoking and alcohol, are also helpful
3
Try centering exercises. Short meditation exercises using breath and awareness to ground you in your body. To reassure you that the whole lot is high-quality. For example, watch this 2-minute video and spot how immediately you are feeling relaxed.

You also can try meditating on healing sound frequencies (search YouTube, Spotify, etc.), for instance check this out:
4
Create a support group amongst peers/friends. Have conversations. Once a day, ask how everyone seems to be feeling. To be sure that we’re all in this together. We’ll see if we will get back up.
You also can designate someone in this group to check in on you each day, and you possibly can keep their name in your speed dial in case you are needed in an emergency. and be the identical for another person. This applies to people staying alone.
5
Doing what you’re keen on: listening to music, podcasts, watching biographies, reading books you have put aside, watching sunsets, talking to plants, going for a fast ride/riding without putting yourself in danger, or watching movies and analog photography talent shows on YouTube. whatever floats your boat.
6
Morning pages: This is a great practice to get rid of anxiety and help with creativity. Once you stand up and finish the essentials, sit down and write 2 pages, use a pen and a notebook. Put away the whole lot that comes to your mind. It doesn’t have to make sense. Let all of it go. Do this each day and I promise you’ll feel higher. This can be a great place to recruit yourself and interview.
You also can practice journaling if that is higher for you – which can be similar, but you possibly can do it on your individual time, talking to yourself, writing down your wishes and plans, and watching them occur.
7
Now we come to the cash part. Level up and make a plan: sit down and write down where the cash is coming from and where it’s going. How much do you would like to sustain yourself for the subsequent 2-3 months? How are we doing? Are there any savings? Are there friends who can offer help? Can your landlord be okay with you not paying rent for a month or two and paying later? Can you delay paying taxes? Will your bank offer a moratorium? Or perhaps top up your loan? Can you sell something you do not use? Can you suspend certain online memberships? Research shows that many persons are afraid of this step and live in constant fear. This way you recognize what you are up against. Ask for help. More often than not, there may be a likelihood that we are going to get it.
8
Affirmations: Tell yourself that the whole lot is high-quality and easy things like: “My problem has a solution; I’ll work on the plan. or “I survived.” “My spirit is beautiful.” Read the affirmations and write down those that make sense to you.
Look at yourself in the mirror and say wonderful things to yourself. Believe it could possibly work. We don’t take ourselves seriously (we do not believe we deserve love, happiness, and one of the best the world can offer), and this creates a spot between who we’re and who we have gotten. Talk to your image. Listen to your image. You can close your eyes and do that too. Your body and soul are a team.
9
Be aware of what’s happening, but try to stay away from the negative noise: select one news source – for instance Faye D’Souza does a pleasant, neutral job when it comes to reporting the news.
10
Help others in case you can along with your time, money and experience. Anything you possibly can do to make it higher. If you do not have an idea – you’ll find a friend who at all times helps others and helps or supports them.
We will get through this. It may take a yr or more to completely eliminate the threat of the virus. But this shit storm we’re having straight away will pass soon. When that is over and we will finally breathe, we must humbly do not forget that nature rules.
