Four-year-old Fedya, a gray cat rescued from Russia, has develop into a social media sensation due to his funny, always surprised appearance.
When Fedya’s owner, Natalia Zhdanova, found him in her backyard in 2020, she had no concept that sooner or later he would develop into an Instagram star with over 300,000 followers. At that point, she wasn’t even sure if she would survive. He was born with coordination problems and had difficulty moving around, but as he grew older his condition improved and shortly he was acting like a normal cat, regardless that he didn’t really look like one. Natalya claims she didn’t really notice his unusual appearance, but her friends all the time seemed amused by Fedya’s constant surprise, so she reluctantly began posting photos of him on social media. The rest, as they are saying, is history.

“I didn’t notice he had any unusual appearance – he just seemed cute and funny to me,” Natalya said. “But my friends and acquaintances told me that this cat needs to be shown to the world.”
The world loved Fedya, and Natalya quickly realized that his lovely appearance made many individuals’s lives higher, so she continued to upload funny photos and videos of her pampered pet.
Fedya the cat first made international news headlines in 2021 originally of her Instagram journey. He “only” had 36,000 fans on the time, a number that has since grown to 314,000.
It is unclear why Fedya has this unusual facial features on a regular basis, but his owner suspects it’s attributable to some genetic defect or the results of physical trauma. Whatever it’s, the cat doesn’t appear to mind it in any respect. This is what makes him unique and is the fundamental reason for his success on social media.
“Fedya, you’re not like everyone else and that’s great,” wrote one in all his fans on Instagram.
“This face makes him even cuter,” another person wrote.
