“It’s not a bull load.”
– We would not mislead you.
“Here’s a powerful story…”
Look, this story calls for a pun, but New Jersey Transit is now selling a stuffed bull in honor of the animal that got here across traces of the system last week.
The first incident occurred on Thursday, December 14, when a Texas longhorn bull named Ricardo walked onto the train tracks at Newark Penn Station while cops and animal rescuers were attempting to contain him safely.
Transport authorities said Ricardo was safely captured and transported to Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in Sussex, where he “was examined by a veterinarian and is now resting peacefully.”
And now NJ Transit is selling the stuffed bull, and a “portion” of the proceeds from the sale of the stuffed companion – though NJ Transit hasn’t revealed what portion that is likely to be – will go on to Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue to assist complement the care of Ricardo and the opposite animals at sanctuary.
NJ Transit officials said the Ricardo the Bull stuffed animal may be purchased for $20 (which incorporates free shipping) at: NJTransitShoppe.com.
