NEW ORLEANS (press release) – (*2*)NOLA Plot calls on all STEM students and professionals to hitch them as volunteers at the next Bridge 2 Innovation (B2I) STEM NOLA Festival on Saturday, January 4 at Destrehan High School, 1 Wildcat Lane, Destrehan, La.
This free event for K-12 students features over sixty hands-on STEM activities, including latest ones Star Lab experience, which is a transportable learning dome and projection system that enables students to immerse themselves in a 360-degree learning experience. Starlab’s mission is to strengthen scientific knowledge by inspiring curiosity, promoting lifelong learning, and fostering a deep appreciation for our universe and all that’s in it.
The Bridge 2 Innovation STEM Festival is presented by STEM NOLA and sponsored by the New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee and the Scratch Foundation.
Volunteers are needed on January 4, arrive at 7:45 and can stay until 1:30 p.m. in
Destrehan High School in Destrehand, Los Angeles.
Undergraduate volunteers will receive a $50 digital stipend.
STEM NOLA is a national leader in designing and delivering STEM-based activities, programs and events for K-12 students, families and communities.
Participants in STEM NOLA programs receive a singular, interactive, hands-on learning experience that enables students of all ages to deepen their knowledge of STEM studies, gain confidence of their abilities, and chart a course for profession opportunities in STEM fields.
STEM NOLA asks volunteers to assist encourage the next generation of innovators while gaining worthwhile experience. They are asking the public to assist make this an unforgettable event for our future STEM leaders.
