New Orleans police have arrested a man after they are saying he shot one other man during an argument
HAVE A NICE SUNDAY AND BACK TO YOU. AND NOW IT’S TIME FOR ANOTHER CHECK OF OUR WEATHER TODAY. THE TEMPERATURES WILL BE WELL TEMPERATURES TODAY. YES. GOOD TEMPERATURES WILL BE ONLY A LITTLE CLOUDY. BUT YOU KNOW WE WON’T SEE A LOT OF SUN COMPARED TO WHAT WAS YESTERDAY. BUT AT LEAST YOU KNOW THAT THERE WILL BE A LOT MORE SUNNY ON TUESDAY AND MOST OF NEXT WEEK. YES. CAN’T WAIT. OH YES. WE HAVE TO SURVIVE A LITTLE STORMY MONDAY NIGHT WHICH WE’LL REACH IN A SHORT TIME, BUT WE’RE SEEING SOME WEATHER CHANGES MOVING THROUGHOUT SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA. THERE IS DEFINITELY A LOT MORE. CLOUDS WILL ONLY INCREASE BECAUSE WE ARE SEEING SOME MOISTURE just ahead of the developing low pressure system back west, which helps us increase the cloud cover we are able to work with today. TEMPERATURES ALONG THE NORTH SHORE. We’re still within the mid 50s, but for those of us listening on the South Shore, it has been mostly within the 60s. OUR HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON RISE TO THE LOW 70S. IT’S FEELING VERY COMFORTABLE, EVEN THOUGH IT WILL BE A LITTLE CLOUDY. BUT TOMORROW IS NOT COMFORTABLE IT IS OF COURSE THE WEATHER. TOMORROW WE WILL CARE LOW RISK LEVEL TWO. NOW REMEMBER THAT LEVEL TWO MINOR RISK MEANS THAT ISOLATED, STRONG OR DISTRIBUTED, MAJOR STORMS ARE A POSSIBILITY WE CAN WORK WITH. AND THE MAIN HAZARD FROM SOME OF THESE STORMS REALLY WILL BE GUEST WINDS. TORNADOES ARE ALSO A POSSIBILITY OF FLOODING HERE. WE HAVE REDUCED IT TO A LITTLE AVERAGE IMPACT, BUT THE GOOD THING IS THAT THE HAIL IMPACT HAS BEEN LOWERED TO A MORE LOWER CATEGORY. HERE’S A Glance at Tomorrow’s Flash Flood Risk. A LEVEL ONE MARGINAL RISK EXISTS FOR MOST OF SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA. BUT YOU KNOW, THE RAIN ACCUMULATION FORECASTS ARE NOT REALLY IMPRESSIVE. IN FACT, I PROBABLY SEE THE MOST OF THE NORTH SHORE, A LITTLE OVER HALF AN INCH, AND THE REST OF US LOOK MUCH LESS. As we pick you up on Monday when the storm system arrives. So what’s happening is a few things. WE HAVE A WARM, SOUTHERN, HUMID AIR MASS COMING FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO. THIS IS THE FIRST INGREDIENT. THE SECOND COMPONENT IS THE COLD FRONT THAT IS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM. THIS IS A LIFTING MECHANISM THAT ALLOWS YOU TO RAISE WARM, HUMID AIR. AND THEN DROP INTO RAIN AND STORM. It LOOKS like stronger storms are coming to our north. BUT AS THIS COLD FRONT MOVES EASTWARD EARLY TUESDAY MORNING, WE MAY BE LOOKING AT SOME SPREADED SHOWERS AND STORMS ABOVE AS IT MOVES ALONG THE FRONTAL BORDER. HERE’S THE GOOD NEWS BECAUSE AMITE IS COMING AT NIGHT. THIS MEANS THAT WE LOSE THE EFFECTS OF HEATING DURING THE DAY AND SOME OTHER DYNAMICS. AND THE INDICATIONS FROM SOME MODELS ARE AS IT’S COMING, IT WILL WEAK, BUT STILL A CHANCE OF HEAVY RAIN OR A SEVERE STORM OR TWO. CANNOT BE COMPLETELY EXCLUDED. As we enter Tuesday, we shall be behind. SO WE ARE LOOKING COOLER, ESPECIALLY BEFORE AND ESPECIALLY AFTER THE NEXT COLD FRONT BREAKS IN. AND THIS WILL HELP TO LOWER OUR TEMPERATURE SLIGHTLY. HOWEVER, I WANT TO INFORM YOU THAT WE WILL BE UNDER WIND MANAGEMENT FROM 7 AM TOMORROW AND UNTIL 4 AM Tuesday morning. THIS is because our southerly winds will increase by 20-30 mph, with occasional wind gusts as much as 40 mph possible throughout tomorrow and into Monday night. BEFORE WE SEE THE WIND BREAK OUT AS WE ENTER TUESDAY MORNING. AS YOU SEE, HERE IS WATCH YOUR WDSU NOW. FIRST WARNING SEVEN DAY FORECAST. OUR HIGHS STAY IN THE 80S TOMORROW AND AGAIN ON TUESDAY. OUR HIGH TEMPERATURES ARE DROPING TO THE 70S IN THE MID PART OF THE WEEK. AND IT CONTINUES FOR MOST OF THE NEXT WORK WEEK, UNTIL AT LEAST FRIDAY UNDER A MIX OF CLOUDS AND SUNNY BEHIND A COLD FRONT, MOVING THROUGH THE HI
