Patrick Norton is a senior vice chairman, operational director and treasurer of the Tulane University. In this role, he’s accountable for all operating features of the University, including funds, treasure and investments, management of facilities, capital and real estate planning, human resources, information technologies, business services, risk management, campus police, internal audit and readiness in the event of a crisis and business continuity. The determined leader, Norton, brings entrepreneurial energy to his work. During his profession, he successfully brought financial rigor and innovations to organizations searching for comprehensive solutions.
As an operational director, Norton is accountable for creating an environment powered by innovation, discovery and discipline, while ensuring financial and operational stability of the Tulane University. As the oldest non -academic officer, his wide portfolio represents the base infrastructure supporting the academic mission and the vision of the university.
A passionate member of the community, Norton devotes a major time to organizations involved in New Orleans and the state of Louisian. He is a member of the board of LCMC and chairman of the board of New Orleans Bio Innovation Center. Before the name Coo Tulane Norton was the Vice President for Finance and the Treasurer at Middlebury College. In Middlebury, Vermont. He is a graduate of the University of Texas with an accounting diploma, a graduate of Columbia University with a master’s degree in the field of organizational leadership and authorized accountant.
