In the wake of the deadly New Year’s Day truck attack on Bourbon Street, people and organizations in New Orleans gathered resources to assist victims and survivors.

For survivors and victims
Crime Survivors NOLA, a bunch of survivors and supporters, has create a guide for victims of a New Year’s Eve attack. The guide includes references to family reunification, victim service providers, and links to other victim support groups and mental health and trauma recovery support.
Federal Office for Victims of Crime offers resources for victims of terrorism and mass violence.
For those that wish to help
The Blood Center is in search of donors. Places and hours of blood collections may be found here.
Several GoFundMes was established for the victims of the attack and their families, including, amongst others, Tiger Bech and Ryan Quigley; Reggie Hunter; Jeremi Senski; AND Mateusz Tenedorio.
WeHelp NOLA offers freed from charge mental health services restaurant industry employees in New Orleans. Everyone funds transferred will provide crisis counseling for people affected by the attack.
The Greater New Orleans Foundation has established a fund to assist victims and survivors and is asking for donations.
United Way of Southeast Louisiana has also launched a fund to assist cover costs related to medical care, funerals and trauma care. Donations may be made via this link.
“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the victims and all those impacted by the tragic attack in New Orleans,” Michael Williamson, president and CEO of UWSELA, said in an announcement Wednesday (Dec. 1). “In times like these, we need to come together as a community to support each other. We are united with our city.”
