Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center based in Central Islip launched the Clinic of Law of Anti -Semitism, which is able to start registration of students this fall. Runing the clinic is the rabbi Mark Goldfeder, a lawyer who shall be the director and assistant of the clinical law professor.
The clinic goals to offer students with the opportunity to realize practical experience through work on various elements of anti -discrimination disputes and regulations, including movement practices, requests for locating, check -in and development and marking of bills.
Based on their interests and experience, students can cooperate with legislators, partner organizations, law firm and non -profit agencies, in addition to provide research and strategic support. Students may also take part in forums, auditions and conferences.
“At the University of Touro, Education is the key to strengthening,” said Touro Alan Kadish president in a press release about the Clinic of Law of Anti -Semitism.
“Considering the increase in anti -Semitism around the world from October 7, this initiative is particularly current and important,” said Kadish.
Kadish described Touro as “the first clinic of anti -Semitism in a law school to train the next generation of legal lawyers and provide our students with the opportunity to change and affect politics, and ultimately society. Our graduates will use the skills that build to speak for justice, by defending individuals or institution antisematism in employment. ”

Goldfeder is the general director and director of the National Jewish Advocacy Center. Earlier, he was the editor of the founder of Cambridge University Press Series on Law and Judaism, a confidant of the Center for Israel Education I, by presidential appointment, member of the Council of the Museum of the Memorial Holocaust in the United States.
“Dr. Goldfeder brings exceptional knowledge and experience that will significantly enrich the education of our students and develop our institutional commitment to combating hatred and discrimination through the new Clinic of Law of Anti -Semitism,” said Dean Elena Langan, dean Elena Langan.
Langan said that “Goldfeder’s scientific contribution and practical experience make him extremely qualified to conduct this important initiative. I am convinced that his involvement in justice and commitment to supporting the integration community will make it an outstanding addition to our lecturers, because the clinic concerns the complex legal challenges in which communities are facing communities.”
Goldfeder said he hopes that the clinic would function a model elsewhere in the country.
“I am excited that I can run this clinic in Law Touro and I am convinced that our work has a lasting impact on the community and involved students,” said Goldfeder. “I hope that the clinic will serve as a model of similar programs throughout the country.”
Goldfeder’s work focuses on law and religion, constitutional law and international law. His line is visible in academic publications and sales points akin to CNN, The Wall Street Journal, The Hill, Forbes and plenty of others. He can be a co -author of five -volume religious organizations and law (Westlaw).
Goldfeder supports cases related to anti -Semitisms throughout the country, and lectures and writes broadly on these topics. He collaborated with local, state and federal legislators on funds supporting the Jewish community and defended students, professors, firms and non -profit organized by Israel. He worked on matters in the International Criminal Court in Hague and successfully represented clients, including American and Israeli non -profit organizations in federal disputes.
In 2017, Goldfeder received the Opher Aviran award with Israel from Hillel, and in 2018 Jon Barkan Israel Award from the American Israel Committee of Public Affairs.
Goldfeder received doctoral and LLM degrees at the Emory University and the degree of doctorate Juris at Nyu School of Law. He received Bachelor of Arts at the Yeshiva University in journalism.
