How far would you go to defy aging and even cheat death? Bryan Johnson, a 47-year-old tech millionaire, is on a mission to discover. Johnson, appearing alongside his 19-year-old son Talmage in the Netflix documentary “Don’t Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever,” Johnson exposes the extreme lifestyle he believes is the key to immortality.
For Johnson, everlasting life is just not only a distant dream – it’s a practical pursuit. “Eternal life and life tomorrow are similar concepts. I really need to live tomorrow. And when tomorrow comes, I imagine that I probably want to live tomorrow,” he explained.
The father and son duo lead a rigid lifestyle that starts at 5 a.m. and ends with the lights turning off at 8:30 p.m. Their day by day weight-reduction plan features a vegan weight-reduction plan of vegetables, nuts, seeds and berries, rigorously calibrated to provide 2,250 calories, 130 grams of protein, 206 carbohydrates and 101 grams of fat. The workouts are an hour-long mix of strength, cardio, flexibility and balance. Before bed, Johnson boasts a resting heart rate of 47-49 beats per minute.

He sticks to strict habits: no caffeine, no alcohol, no large meals before bed, and a consistent evening ritual of calm down. “High-quality sleep has changed my life,” he said, emphasizing its role in slowing down the aging process.
Johnson and Talmage’s involvement includes experimental practices, including a highly publicized multigenerational plasma exchange in 2023 involving Johnson’s 71-year-old father. The procedure has sparked debate about how far people will go to stay young.
