Like a fairy tale come to life, AlBarakah, the brand new popular name for authentic halal food within the country, was recently introduced to the Philippines during an exotic Arabian Night-inspired celebration on the Crowne Plaza in Ortigas Center. In this lavish event, dubbed the “Feast of the Arabian Nights”, guests wearing their best traditional Muslim attire sampled AlBarakah’s delicious dishes.
The centerpiece of the culinary offering was the very best quality shredded corned beef and ground corned beef AlBarakah, whose wealthy flavors were complemented by the corporate’s protein snacks and fragrant coffee options resembling 3-in-1 brown and white coffee. Of course, each dish was certified halal, which in Islamic teachings means “lawful” to make sure it could be palatable to all Muslims present.
AlBarakah CEO Ameerah Tamundong said she knew firsthand the challenges of sourcing halal ingredients and food within the Philippines. “My Muslim friends and I haven’t always had an easy time following our dietary rules,” she said. “We wanted to eliminate this problem for all our fellow Muslims by providing an easily accessible source of tasty and healthy halal products.”
However, Tamundong sees AlBarakah as a number one food brand for all Filipinos. In this fashion, AlBarakah casts a wider net to achieve consumers beyond Pinoy Muslim communities.
“Good food is one of the universal Pinoy languages,” Tamundong said. “And at AlBarakah, above all, we make good food. In addition to providing satisfaction to my fellow Muslims, we also hope to offer new and flavorful options to Pinoy foodies looking for delicious meals.”
This gave the impression to be achieved when AlBarakah products proved to be successful on the Arabian Nights Feast. In addition to generating goodwill amongst guests of all faiths, AlBarakah is poised to make it easier for all Filipinos to find – and appreciate – the taste of true halal.
