“Snap Map is unique because it allows Snapchatters to stay in touch with their world, regardless of whether they use it to meet friends who see nearby or discover new places and experiences around them,” said the corporate. “Unlike other digital maps, our map is more than providing guidelines from point A to point B, allows Snapchatters to remain in contact, in real time, to their physical world.”
According to SNAP, over 400 million users opens the SNAP map every month to plan, be told and have interaction in a neighborhood environment. The company emphasized the role of a tool in helping users personally with friends, discovering latest locations and feels more related to their communities.
In addition to its basic functions, Snap Map also offers opportunities for firms through promoted places. “Thanks to the promoted places, Snapchat companies may appear, where they are already exploring Snapchatters – by facilitating IRL’s visits, discovering new customers or simply appear in moments that matter,” said Snap.
