In a recent Wednesday, legal firms, lawyers and their support employees in Nassau were recognized as their pro-bono.
The annual recognition of Pro Bono, which took place in Nassau County Bar Association (NCBA) in Mineola, was noticed by individuals who provided volunteering in Pro-Bono last 12 months. They were honored with the NCBA commission for justice in cooperation with Long Island legal services.
This 12 months, Rivkin Radler with the office in Unirandale and Bond Schoeneck & King, with the office in Garden City, received two of the most effective suppliers’ awards that honored the work carried out by firms and plenty of lawyers in each firms.
The remainder of the 21 awards are individuals who either work for law firms or work as Solo doctors. Recipients’ efforts include representation in landlord and eviction of tenants, bankruptcy, consumer debt, mortgage exclusion, transgender name changes and family and marriage law.
The NCBA Access to Justice Committee is a standard effort between Long Island’s legal services and the activities of the Pro Bono Association prosecutor in Nassau and the help project within the scope of exclusion of a mortgage.
Legal services from Long Island are a non-profit organization that’s dedicated to low-income Long Islanders who’re in justice in crisis. The NCBA mortgage assistance project is a non -profit legal service provider under the protection plan for the owner of the home of the Prosecutor General. Both organizations work in tandem to develop modern programs that provide free or reduced access to legal advisor, advice and data.
