- Morse Micro introduces a brand new communication era in Europe with the arrival of compliance Wi-Fi Halow System-On-Chip (SOC)
- Very low power, long -range connectivity now fully optimized for European markets and the Middle East
Morsse Micro, a world-free Wi-Fi Halow chip supplier, announced today the launch of MM8102, the latest Wi-Fi Halow SOC adapted to mass IoT implementation in Europe and the Middle East.
As a low-power variant MM8108, MM8102 provides a 1 MHz and a couple of MHz bandwidth with 256-QAM modulation, enabling a bandwidth to eight.7 Mb / s, significantly exceeding the speed of the Lorawan network. Using the ISM SUB-GHz, MM8102 Wi-Fi Hallow SOC strands also offers much greater range and signal penetration than conventional Wi-Fi networks 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz. MM8102 sets a brand new reference point for fast IoT connectivity from a distant range in the EMEA region. In addition, MM8102 meets European and global regulatory requirements, simplifying the development of IoT devices manufacturers.
Designed for Europe, built for the future
MM8102 Set a brand new IoT communication standard in EMEA, offering:
- Regulatory compatibility: Optimized for the EMEA market, MM8102 supports 1 MHz and a couple of MHz bandwidth with 16DBM EIRP and full support for the restrictions of the compulsory cycle, ensuring full compliance with EU wireless regulations
- Low -power operation: Optimized for applications supported by a battery with significantly prolonged sleep times and ultra-emergency energy consumption in sleep modes
- The highest performance for EMEA: Modulation support 256-QAM bandwidth offer 8.7 Mb / s with a band width of 2 MHz
- Support in the EU work cycle: Full support for the service and the average service cycle to fulfill EU regulatory requirements, which causes a median capability of as much as 867 kb / s for access points at a ten% work cycle and 243 kb / s for IoT station at 2.8% of the mandatory cycle
“Thanks to MM8102 we are preparing a stage for a new IoT era in Europe” said Michael de Nil, co -founder and general director of Morse Micro.
“This arrangement was built for the future-by offered solid, long-range connectivity with a low rule, while ensuring full compliance with European regulations. By unlocking the full potential of Wi-Fi for mass IoT implementations, we help programmers to build smarter, more efficient devices that can develop in complex environments. We are glad that today they were announced in the Embedded World, bringing a new era of communication with Europe. “
Thanks to the ultra-inferior energy consumption and full compliance with the standards of Wi-Fi Hallow, MM8102 is a really perfect solution for intelligent cities, industrial IoT, intelligent measurement, points, logistics and large-scale sensor networks. Additional functions include:
- Integration of the USB, SDIO and SPI host: Improving the ease of integration and enabling USB AP and Sta Dongle activities in the latest and existing network infrastructure
- Increased safety: Supports WPA3 with simultaneous authentication Equals (SAE) and GCMP encryption for solid protection of the link layer
- Scalable project: The compact BGA 5 x 5 mm package minimizes the size and price of the printed printed plate (PCB)
