The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq’s regular schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with weekends off. There are also some closures because of market holidays. If a vacation falls on a Sunday, it would be celebrated on the following Monday.

Are there holidays when the stock exchange remains to be open?
Although the stock market has regular trading hours on lately, bond markets will close earlier at 2:00 PM ET:
- Maundy Thursday (Thursday before Good Friday)
- The Friday before Memorial Day
- New Year’s Eve
