Even Wall Street is taking days off.
The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq’s regular schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with weekends off. There are also some closures because of market holidays. If a vacation falls on a Sunday, it would be celebrated on the following Monday.

- Friday, November 29, 2024 (day after Thanksgiving)*
- Tuesday, December 24, 2024*
*Bond markets close at 2:00 PM EST.
Are there holidays when the stock exchange remains to be open?
Although the stock market has regular trading hours on lately, bond markets will close earlier at 2:00 PM ET:
- Maundy Thursday (Thursday before Good Friday)
- The Friday before Memorial Day
- New Year’s Eve
