The United Arab Emirates (ZAA) presented Blue Visa, a 10-year residence permit, for foreigners who made a significant contribution to environmental protection.
This was announced in the course of the World Summita 2025 on Tuesday.

Dr. Amna Bint Abdullah Al Dahak, the Minister of Climate and Environment, stated that Blue Visa strengthens the position of ZEA as a world leader in the sector of sustainable development.
She said: “This initiative aims to use their contribution to achieve ambitious national goals and build a sustainable future for the inhabitants of ZAA and the world.”
With the introduction of the primary phase of the electronic system, applicants may obtain electronic approval through statements made by relevant government agencies in sustainable development sectors, because they follow the procedures presented on the web site of the international conference as regards to protective structures (ICP).
Application requirements vary depending on the applicant’s category and certificates. However, all interested individuals must provide documents supporting their contribution and achievements in the sector of sustainable development, climate change and environmental protection.
Supporters of sustainable development and experts sought within the blue UAE vision may apply on to ICP or by nominated by the competent authorities within the United Arab Emirates. Applicants must first submit an application for the nomination or be nominated by the competent authority, which serves as a preliminary approval of the appliance.
After granting the approved nomination, applicants may proceed the appliance. Current residents of ZAA must update their visa status.
The application process requires personal data, equivalent to full name, contact details, category and nomination request number. Additional details include nationality, occupation, date of birth, passport information, faith and address.
Applicants from outside the ZAA must first secure a six -month visa of multiple entry to finish the residence visa procedure. The nomination fee is DHS350.
ICP offers 24 -hour access to the Blue Visa service for individuals who qualify via its website and mobile application after observing the conditions.
