The iconic baby food brand interrupts the teething product after a toddler was sent to an ambulance after using it.
Gerber announced the recall of his teething corners on January 31. In a press release published by Nestlé’s parent company, the products said that the products were “potential snacking threat to children and young children.”
“Withdrawal was initiated after receiving consumer complaints for choke incidents,” said Gerber in a communiqué. “One ambulance visit has been reported so far.
The products were distributed in 45 states plus Puerto Rico, including: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaje, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maine , Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Karolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Rhode Island, South Karolina Utah, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin.

Alaska, North Dakota, Wyoming, Louisiana and Wyoming were released from distribution. According to Gerber, the products “were distributed throughout the country via the Internet and distribution centers and retail stores in the next states and territories.”
Tittered products appeared in two flavors: strawberry apple and banana. Withdrawal and interruption is limited only to these two flavors.
In the edition, she emphasized that parents who bought chewing sticks “mustn’t feed this product to their child and may return the product of the vendor wherein it was purchased for refund.”

“We work with the American Food and Drug Agency (FDA) on this withdrawal and we’ll work fully,” added Gerber. “We sincerely apologize for any fears or inconvenience that this motion presents for parents, guardians and retail clients.”
It is rare for Gerber to resemble products, but it happened in the past. In 2023, the Baby Gerber formula, which was recalled for potentially containing harmful bacteria, was incorrectly sent to dozens of retail sellers after initiating withdrawal.
